Dear Vijay ,Vishnu and entire thinkingparticle team,
I want to thank you and all involved for arranging the successful trek for our group. Thanks to all who trekked, cooked and supported the team along the way in a very professional yet caring way.
The thinkingparticle team was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that the group was unharmed and enjoyed every moment of the scenic, beautiful route. Looking forward to trekking with thinkingparticle again

I thank you and your team for arranging the trip from Bagdogra to Gangtok and Nathula Pass and the return via Darjeeling from 28.01.14 to 31.01.14.Planning and execution of the tour programme was excellent.
As scheduled the guide and the driver were waiting for us with their SUV at the Bagdogra Airport on 28.01.14 in the afternoon at 4.00 P.M. The journey through the mountains along the banks of river Teestha was breathtaking. It took 4 1/2 hours to reach Gangtok but it was worth every minute.
Accommodation at Gangtok was very good. The city is clean and beautiful. Next morning we travelled to Nathula Pass located 56 K.M east of Gangtok in the Himalayas at an altitude of 14140 ft. on the Indo-China border. Nathula ranks amongst the highest passes accessible by tourists via motorable road. It connects the State of Sikkim to Tibet Autonomous Region in China. Nathula was once an ancient silk route connecting Lhasa in Tibet to the plains of Eastern India. The other side of Nathula Pass is Chumbi Valley of Tibet. Nathula Pass is marked by entrance gates of both India and China with military bunkers on both sides of the gates. On the Indian side, we could find fortified military bunkers, a War Memorial, and a military canteen serving hot tea and snacks to the breathless, oxygen-starved tourists. One should have proper clothes to fight the biting cold.
The winding Gangtok-Nathula highway is one of the most beautiful mountain roads sidestepping, en route, many frozen waterfalls, the frozen Tsomgo Lake (also known as Changu Lake –altitude 12310 ft.) and the new Baba Harbhajan Mandir.
Next day, after visiting Tashi View point (Kanchenjunga) and Rumtek Monastery we reached Darjeeling in the evening. The “Queen of the Hills” was a disappointment bereft of development for years. Next morning we left for the Tiger Hill which was 16 K M away from Darjeeling town to witness the reflection of the sun rise on the mountain ranges. We started at 4.00 A.M in the morning to be the first few in the tourists’ gallery. View of the Kanchenjunga in the morning was a divine experience. The first rays of the sun shed light on the mountain peak and painted it pink and thereafter changed to orange, yellow and finally snow- white. Really breathtaking. The entire trip was worth waiting for this glorious visual experience. Far away in the north- western horizon you could see the peaks of Mount Everest, Makalu and Lotse.
After a morning stroll to the Darjeeling and Ghoom railway stations of the Himalayan Mountain Railway we returned to Bagdogra to catch the flight back.
A few days well spent thanks to Myriad Trails.
Thank you Vishnu for all the pains you took to ensure that my family and I had a hassle-free and enjoyable trip.
We will be happy to refer your name to our friends and will contact you for our next trip.

I came across Vishnu via his blog. I love reading his blog. Usually people travel to only famous places. It takes really hard effort to explore new places and arrange holidays to such places. Real beauty is untouched most of the times and I’m glad that information about such places are easily accessible on thinkingparticle. His blog helps me to make list of places I want to visit. People who really loves traveling and exploring new places would enjoy this blog and make plans to visit some of places for sure. I would like to thank Vishnu for suggesting some of the best places in Himachal and arranging one of the best vacations for me and my friends. I really appreciate him for making it very quick and still fulfilling our all requirements. I am looking forward to explore and create many more memories with the help of Vishnu.

I just finished the Lamba -Lambari trek that was led by Narendra our guide. Despite the bad weather conditions my wife and I had the time of our lives. Narendra was just the perfect guide. I really can't say enough about him. He set the perfect tone for the entire trip. He was always upbeat and positive despite the fact that he himself was hurting and that the weather conditions were not exactly ideal. My wife, who was a little skeptical about this trip, is now a firm believer in the Himalayan vacation. That is entirely thinkingparticle's doing. We will come and try other treks with the company because of Vijay , Vishnu and our guide Narendra.

My hiking trip to Magic valley was excellent. Our group had 2 guides, Om and Rajendra, who were knowledgeable, fun, very organized and great cooks! My only regret is it wasn't long enough! I would definitely choose Thinking Particle for another hiking experience.

Absolutely the trip of a lifetime! I enjoyed every single minute of my time in Ladakh during winters. The guides were terrific and getting the know the other people in the group added to the experience. The best part was finding out that I could do things physically that I never imagined I could do - surviving -30 degree and below, spending bitter cold nights in one of the harshest terrains in the world- what a kick! Truly a memorable vacation... If planning Ladakh in Winters, sign up with Thinking Particle...

Dear Vishnu and Vijay, My husband and I just returned from our winter trip to Ladakh and we had to tell you how absolutely wonderful it was! First, our tour leader Deldon was outstanding! He was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging as well as being a great story-teller. Next, the itinerary this trip takes may be long and challenging at times, but we got to see a lot of the Ladakh and experience much of its quiet and majestic beauty. Our favorite day was the trip to frozen Pangong lake. With only a light backpack, we got to appreciate all that this side of the Ladakh has to offer. Finally, we also wanted to let you know how everyone at the hotel that we stayed was kind and helpful in every way. It took a while to get our dates settled, but you always kept trying until we got the right fit. Vijay gave us good advice on cloths, boots that really helped make our trip successful. And as I mentioned earlier, Deldon was an excellent leader who made our trip a memorable one. We will recommend your company to everyone we know and we look forward to taking another trip with you all in the future.

I had a fantastic time in the Magic Valley trek! The team was extremely helpful in learning the basics and essential skills needed on the trip. I really liked the fact that Vishnu and Vijay took the time to answer every question that I had. Kudos to the entire team for the wonderful experience - absolutely superb. The team which took us to Magic valley was unbelievably enthusiastic and at the same time laid back. They were just as excited as we were to be out there and exploring. Food was phenomenal - in fact in many ways it was better then what I eat at home. And definitely better than what I use on backpack trips.

First of all, let me express my sincerest gratitude for not cancelling the silk route trip in Sikkim. I realize that running the trip was a loss for your company but it was the best week I ever spent in the outdoors. Sunil Lama was an able guide, a great teacher and excellent company. Sunil and I meshed from day one. We traveled to harsh terrains but really had fun. Consider me a friend of Thinking Particle for life. I will definitely use your company again.

Just finishined a heritage tour to Agra with a representative from Thinking Particle, Nadeem, I would like to say how pleased our family was with his local knowledge, his honesty and generally a lovely man to spend our holiday with... thank you Thinking Particle for a wonderful experience and a life lesson our children will not forget.
The trip exceeded our expectations by a long shot. We left wishing we could have stayed down in Jibhi for a week instead of two nights. I have a feeling we will be back at some point in the not so distant future with a few other people. We plan on making it till the source of river Tirthan next time. We will also be in touch about a potential trip to Sikkim. Vishnu did a fantastic job with everything and the Banjar Valley left a lasting impact on us. I wanted to send this quick note of thanks. We will be in touch
